Air India offers low fare tickets on selected sectors

New Delhi, Feb 18 (PTI) - In a bid to attract a lot more passengers, Air India on Thursday launched many low easy fare tickets on selected domestic sectors.

The lowest easy fare would be Rs 100 on selected sectors, excluding the fuel surcharge, passenger service fee, user development fee - wherever applicable-and the service tax.

"The tickets would be out there inside 14-day advance booking category under the Budget Season Marketing Scheme among February and March 31," an airline spokesperson said.

The 14-day advance a single way buy fare of Rs 100 is out there on Delhi-Chennai, Delhi-Bangalore and Delhi-Hyderabad sectors.

A passenger will have to pay Rs 3,429, inclusive of all surcharge and taxes on Delhi-Chennai sector, though Rs 3,229 on Chennai-Delhi flight. Similarly, a Delhi-Bangalore ticket would cost Rs 3,429 and on return leg it would be Rs 3,481. The total fare of a Delhi-Hyderabad flight would be Rs 2,929 and Hyderabad-Delhi would cost Rs 3,196.

The national carrier has also launched a seven-day a single way advance buy fare of Rs 370 among Kochi and Mumbai and a single way instant buy fare of Rs 499 among Coimbatore and Kozhikode, excluding the fuel surcharge, passenger service fee, user development fee - wherever. applicable - and also the service tax.

The total cost of a Mumbai-Kochi ticket, inclusive of all surcharge and taxes, would be Rs 3,999 and seven-day advance buy fare on Kochi-Mumbai would be Rs 3,891, the spokesperson said.

On Kozhokide-Coimbatore sector, a ticket would cost Rs 728 and instant buy on Coimbatore-Kozhikode would cost the same to a passengers, just like passengers service fee.

The national carrier has launched the low specific flight fares on coded Air India flights on seven domestic sectors for Rs 999 plus taxes.

An instant buy fare of Rs 999 can be out there on the Hyderabad-Bangalore (directional) sector on IC 978.

For this, a passengers would have to pay only the passenger service fee and user development fee (UDF) and are not required to pay any fuel surcharge, he added. (PTI).
